The Crystal Couture Story

The Crystal Couture story begins many years ago. As a young girl, I always loved Swarovski crystal and to this day collect unique crystal miniatures. I ‘m fascinated by their simple elegance and timeless beauty. The fact that you're here on Crystal Couture undoubtedly means that you also love the aesthetic of Swarovski crystals.

My interest grew with my daughters. I was thrilled when their dance studio started using Swarovski crystals on dance costumes. I couldn’t believe the number of colors, shapes and sizes that were available. Applying those gorgeous stones made the costumes jump to life and changed the entire look and feel. I can safely say, we have personally applied between 75,000 and 100,000 stones over the years. The high quality and consistency of a Swarovski crystal makes a huge difference. We also value using glue that works and having good tools available when you need them.

Over the years we’ve accumulated many extra stones. With the recent trend of “make everything you possibly can- sparkle”, my teenage daughters and their dance friends started raiding the packages of extra crystals and applying them to their phones, jeans, t-shirts, shoes, purses, sunglasses and backpacks. Soon their school friends started to cover their phones, etc with stones – however, they were plastic or glass knock offs. They noticed that their stones didn’t sparkle nearly as much as the dancers' crystals. They wanted Swarovski but didn’t know where to buy a small amount of a few colors. Wanting to help out their friends, my daughters further raided our stash. When we didn’t have the particular color and size the girls wanted, my daughter said to me, "Mom we should start a company and sell Swarovski rhinestone kits.” So – drawing on my 25 years of business and their 14 years of performing arts experience - we did...
